Photography serves as a quiet but integral part of Mercedes Corvinus’ artistic process. Her images capture atmospheres, architectural fragments and abstracted moments that later inform her work in painting, installation, and model-building. Many of her photographs are taken abroad and mirror themes present across her practice—light, contrast, space, and subtle estrangement. Whether used as direct references or abstracted motifs, they function as both documentation and visual research.
